About the Program
The Broward HealthPoint (PGY2) Corporate Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency is a 12 month program with an integrated rotation model designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive approach to developing essential skills in health system pharmacy leadership. The program will give residents the opportunity to engage in a variety of pharmacy leadership roles to enhance skills in strategic business planning, human resources, healthcare regulations and compliance, quality improvement initiatives to advance pharmacy practice, and much more. The resident will acquire the skills to operate effectively within a health system composed of a network of hospitals and community-based health centers. Residents who successfully complete this program are prepared for a position in pharmacy leadership within a health system.
The PGY2 Corporate Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency Program is in Pre- Candidate status by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

The residency program and its preceptors are focused on developing well-rounded, competent, and resilient pharmacy leaders. During the resident’s year with our program, we engage in helping the resident develop healthy work-life balance and self-care habits, while still maintaining high levels of productivity and professional engagement.
Program Highlights
By the end of this program the resident will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to assume central roles in the field of pharmacy administration. No clinical pharmacy staffing is expected of the resident. The resident is eligible for health, vision, dental and life insurance, among many other benefits that come with being a Graduate Medical Education employee at Broward Health.

Qualifications of Residency Applicants
The resident must possess a Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and have completed an ASHP accredited or candidate-status PGY-1 pharmacy residency. They must acquire a valid Florida pharmacist license within 120 days of the residency program start date. Candidate applications must be submitted through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS®) system by January 15, 2024. Candidates will be selected for an on-site interview based on application materials. This residency agrees that no person at this residency will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any residency applicant.
