About Dr. Julian Khaymovich:
Dr. Khaymovich grew up in Staten Island, NY and attended UCLA, where he majored in neuroscience. He attended medical school at the New York Institute of Technology- College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island, NY. He is excited to spend the next several years of his career practicing psychiatry in sunny South Florida. In his free time, Julian is a professional photographer, with a particular interest in fashion editorials and celebrity portraits featured in a number of publications. He also enjoys traveling, playing tennis, biking, practicing his clarinet, and swimming at the beach!
Future interests: Dr. Khaymovich has an interest in research and teaching and has future goals of combining work in the inpatient and outpatient settings with a potential specialization in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Why he chose Broward Health Psychiatry:
During his 4th year rotation in the Broward Health psychiatry unit, Julian saw first-hand the vast amount of diverse pathologies that residents are exposed to here. While the program is still relatively young, he believes that it is being quickly established as one of the leading programs in the region for an excellent psychiatry training. In addition, of course the amazing cafeteria and food stipend was a huge plus!
