About Dr. Helseth:

Dr. Helseth was born in Vero Beach, Florida. He attended Florida State University, where he obtained a dual degree, with Bachelor of Science in Biology and Finance. He then attended the University of South Florida where he obtained a Master’s in Medical Sciences. His passion for healthcare led him to continue his Medical Education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His hobbies include painting, working out, cycling, traveling, spending time in and around the ocean, including scuba diving and fishing.

Why I chose Broward Health Psychiatry:

I chose Broward Health Psychiatry because of the wide exposure to varying patients and pathology. I was fortunate to have an opportunity to rotate at Broward Health during medical school and I was familiar with Broward Health's unique patient population. I knew that I wanted to stay in the area to learn and practice medicine for my residency. As a fifth generation Florida native I feel very fortunate and proud to continue my training in Florida at BHMC.
