About you:
Dr. Patterson was born and raised in Hamilton, NJ. She attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY where she received a dual Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business and Marketing. After working in New York City for a few years she decided to switch paths and pursue a career in medicine. She attended Rutgers University where she completed a pre-medical post-baccalaureate and later obtained her medical degree from Ross University. Outside of medicine Dr. Patterson enjoys spending her free time with her two small dogs, relaxing on the beach and exploring new restaurants with friends.
Why did I choose Broward Health North Internal Medicine Program?
I chose Broward Health North due to its diverse pathology and patient population, commitment to underserved patients and exposure to multiple sub-specialties. I also liked the structure of the 4+1 schedule so that residents can give their full undivided attention to clinical patients during their clinic week. Furthermore, I knew that I wanted to be a part of a new program so that I could play an integral part in helping to shape the foundation of the program for future residents.
