About you:

Dr. Chaparro has a passion for nature and outdoor activities. Living in south Florida for the last 4 years has allowed her to spend her free time at the beach, which she considers her happy place. Dr. Chaparro enjoys a good time with her family and 2 dogs, Potter and Chancho. She loves good coffee and will never turn down a sweet treat when offered.

Why did I choose Broward Health Transitional Year?

The Broward health system captured my attention due to their patient care and commitment to the Broward community. One of my primary goals was to join a hospital that offers care to a diverse community, which Broward health offers. I felt a supportive and engaging environment since interviewing for a TY position at Broward north. It felt like a family! I have had the opportunity to experience first-hand the hard work that the chiefs, program directors, and coordinators demonstrate every day to make the program grow and become better. I recognized early on the many positive features that matched with my professional and personal goals. I feel grateful and proud to be part of this residency family. I know that during this fundamental year of residency, I will acquire the knowledge and skills to become the physician and anesthesiologist that I have always dreamed of. In addition, Florida has been my home since I left Venezuela and where my family also resides. There was not a better place to start my residency journey than close to my loved ones.
