Dr. Smith was born in Columbus, Georgia and raised in Tampa, Florida. He completed his Bachelor of Science from Davidson College and his Master of Science from the University of South Florida. He completed his medical education at NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. His hobbies include fishing, boating, grilling, coaching football, and live music.

I chose Broward Health Emergency Medicine because of the clinical staff, diverse patient population in South Florida, and the ability to train at a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers. The large volume of patients and trauma cases was a major factor for me and really made Broward Health stand out.
