About Dr. Shahi:

Dr. Shahi grew up in Maryland and attended University of Maryland, Baltimore County where she majored in Biology and minored in Psychology. She attended Ross University School of Medicine on the island of Dominica, and completed her clinical rotations in Washington DC, Maryland, South Florida, and Chicago. Her future goals involve destigmatizing and improving the accessibility of psychiatric care. In her free time, she enjoys DIY projects, game nights, exploring the city with friends, reading, dancing and playing video games.  

Future interests: Raising awareness and de-stigmatization of mental health

I chose Broward Health Psychiatry because of the diversity of the population and psychopathology, as well as the opportunity to be a part of building a strong foundation for a new program.
