Dr. Saddemi is excited to further his medical training in South Florida where he can continue to care for patients in a locale that he considers to be his home away from home. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami where he graduated with honors—majoring in Health Science Business Administration and minoring in Chemistry, Psychology, & English. He then received his Master of Public Health from the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, where he finished with an award in academic merit while focusing in epidemiology & global health. He is captivated by the visual field of ophthalmology due to the immediate, tangible impact that one can make following a procedure, as well as the level of need that exists in low-income communities—as certain populations may have one ophthalmologist for more than a million people! In the future, he aspires to establish his own NGO addressing the burden of preventable & treatable blindness in developing nations across the globe. Outside of his professional interests, Jack enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures, seeing new wildlife, playing sports, aquascaping, and providing unrelenting support for UMiami & Cleveland sports teams.
