Ahmed was born in Alexandria, Egypt and came to the United States at the age of 9, Initially landing in Secaucus, NJ where he grew up. He was captain of his wrestling team in Secaucus high school where he graduated to go on to the Pennsylvania State University. Afterward he had a career in pharmaceutical and food science. He then decided that his true calling was medicine and chose to pursuit it at American University of Antigua College of medicine, doing his rotations in south Florida Miami/Fort Lauderdale area, where he fell in love with the area and decided to rank Broward health as his number one choice for residency. On his free time he likes to ride his road bike, ride peloton and go to the gym.

Simulation and Medical Education

Broward Had everything an emergency medicine resident can ask for, high acuity, high volume, both a level 2 and a level 1 trauma center, all the rotations for EM can be satisfied at broward health, including obgyn, pediatric ICU, and NICU. The faculty are amazing, and it is never a dull moment as a broward health EM resident
