Dr. Hobbs grew up in farm towns in Southeastern Idaho and Northwestern Utah. He attended Southern Utah University where he met his wife Cassidee. He took a two-year gap in his education to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the State of Washington, where he worked mostly with the Spanish-speaking population. After his mission, he transferred to Brigham Young University where he studied Neuroscience and graduated Magna Cum Laude with an advanced low-level Spanish language certificate. He attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he found his passion for health policy as a Student Health Insurance Representative, Billing & Collections Practices Advisory Councilmember, and with involvement in local medical societies. Dr. Hobbs' medical experiences and interests led him to the field of dermatology, where his interests include cutaneous oncology, medical education, treatment algorithms and therapeutic approaches, access to care and health equity, as well as quality of life and patient-reported outcomes. He completed an intern year in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is excited to continue his dermatology residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Southern Florida where he can utilize and improve his Spanish abilities in patient care. Academically, Dr. Hobbs enjoys mentoring pre-medical students and medical students, specifically interested in dermatology. Aside from Dermatology, Dr. Hobbs is foremost a father and husband; his hobbies include sports, exercise, and spending time with his amazing wife and kids.
