Personal Statement Or Description:
I was born in Israel and was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, my parents were advised that I was not savvy at school, my grades were sunked and I needed a special curriculum, one that they cannot provide. My parents then moved my family to America to give me a second chance. I moved to America with no real foundational English. Here, I worked hard, and graduated high school and ended up in Towson University in Towson, MD. I majored in Psychology while becoming an EMT and polishing my interests in medicine while shadowing physicians and volunteering and homeless shelters and soup kitchens.
Future Interest: Interventional Pain Medicine
Why you chose Broward Health Emergency Medicine?
I chose Broward Health Emergency Medicine because when I was interviewing, I was looking for a family vibe, a connection and the culture. I fell in love with Broward’s program. I loved how close the attendings worked with residents, their interest in the residents’ education and knowledge base.
