About Dr. Walker: Dr. Walker grew up right here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, attending Westminster Academy for her primary school years. She graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. She has a special interest in lifestyle medicine. She plans to incorporate other specialties, such as psychology and dermatology into her practice. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, her mini-zoo (dog, turtle, and tortoise), watersports, and enjoying south Florida nightlife.

Why I Chose Broward Health Family Medicine: I chose BHFM because the core curriculum aligned with my interests. They have a strong inpatient focus balanced with clinic life. I rotated at BH for my third and fourth years of medical school and had the opportunity to learn alongside some of the BHFM residents, and they always seemed the happiest, as well as most caring of their patients. I also believe there is no better place to live than south Florida!
