Dr. Oakes was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Dr. Oakes obtained her dual DO/MPH degrees from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She will be completing her advanced years specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Her hobbies include crossfit, volleyball, and anything outdoors.
I chose to complete my transitional year at Broward Health because of the diverse patient population Broward serves. Additionally, Broward Health offers exposure to unique pathology and a positive learning environment which will help me build a strong foundation of medical knowledge.
