Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Dr. Anmol Gupta was made in Jaipur, India. He grew up in New York City and South Florida. As a child, Anmol enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. His interest lead him to pursue an engineering degree at Columbia University. Upon graduating, Dr. Gupta worked as a healthcare consultant at IBM and later started his own medical device company. He developed and patented medical technologies related to postpartum hemorrhage, surgical devices, and dialysis catheters. In doing so, Anmol discovered that he not only lacked the medical knowledge necessary to innovate on a more profound level but that he also desired to help patients on a first-hand basis. Thus, Dr. Gupta pursued his medical education and surgical training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he graduated with distinction. While in medical school, Dr. Gupta opted for a two-year scholarly leave in order to earn an MBA at Harvard Business School. He aspired to learn how to more effectively bring ideas from bench to bedside, while gaining exposure to people from all different walks of life. To date, Dr. Gupta has published over two dozen manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and hopes to contribute to the advancement of medical science in the future. Dr. Gupta thoroughly enjoys filmmaking and acting; his work has been featured at multiple international film festivals. He also enjoys playing chess, living/breathing/sleeping all things basketball and the Miami Heat, and embracing the company of furry friends.
