About Dr. Sharma:

Dr. Sharma grew up and was raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She completed her BA in Biology and Psychology along with certificates in Global Health and Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She then went on to complete her medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine. Her hobbies include: being in nature at the park or the beach, exploring new coffee shops/cafes, yoga and meditation and reading!

Future interests: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Cultural Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Narrative Medicine. 

Why I chose Broward Health Psychiatry:

I chose Broward Health’s psychiatry residency for the opportunity to work with a culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population. I appreciate the exposure to a wide variety of patient cases and psychopathologies that will prepare me well to practice after residency.
