About Valentin:

Dr. Valentin was born and raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. She then went on to complete her medical education at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. She enjoys spending time at the beach, exploring new places, and eating pizza with her friends.

Future interests: psychotherapy, medical education, and cultural psychiatry.

Why I chose Broward Health Internal Medicine: 

I was determined to train in a program that would allow me to serve diverse communities, especially Spanish-speaking populations. Leadership opportunities are also important to me, so I liked the idea of being part of a new program and helping it grow. Location is also important, so I was happy to find out about this program located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale!
