Chris Haritos is joining Broward Health Medical Center as a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident. He currently attends University of Florida College of Pharmacy and is on track to graduate with a Doctorate of Pharmacy in May. Before pharmacy school he attended Palm Beach State College and Florida Atlantic University while working as a technician at Walgreens. During pharmacy school he was a part of several organizations and held three positions: Kappa Epsilon-Kappa Psi Liaison, APhA-Academy of Student Pharmacists Special Events Chair, and American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Experiential Chair. Additionally, he was employed at University of Florida Center for Quality Medication Management as a pharmacy intern where he spent a majority of his time performing complete medication reviews. During his final year of pharmacy school, Chris collaborated with AdventHealth Celebration in a retrospective chart review to compare the efficacy and safety of dobutamine versus milrinone and presented this research at American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Midyear Clinical Meeting. In addition, throughout his last year of school he had rotations in different healthcare systems such as Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Weston, and West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center. His areas of interest include emergency medicine, pediatrics, and research among others. After residency he would like to become a board-certified pharmacist and continue working in the hospital setting.
