Lauren Murray is a native of Melrose, Massachusetts.  She attended Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts earning a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Physical Therapy in 2010.  In July 2012, Lauren began her medical education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Bradenton in Bradenton, Florida.  She commissioned into the United States Navy in August of 2012 via the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP).  Lauren graduated from LECOM Bradenton with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree in 2016 then went on to complete an internal medicine internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, VA in June 2017.

From July 2017 through June 2019, Lauren served as a General Medical Officer (GMO) at 2d Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, NC.  While serving with 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, 2D Marine Division, she deployed in support of the Unit Deployment Program-East (UDP-East).  From July 2019-July 2021, Lauren served as a GMO at 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton, CA with 2d Battalion, 5th Marines, where she deployed as the Battalion Surgeon of the Ground Combat Element for the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command from May 2020 through October 2020. 

In July 2021, Lauren Murray was honorably discharged from the United States Navy and started her residency at Broward Health in Emergency Medicine.

Outside of the hospital, Lauren enjoys spending time with her dog, Ellie, climbing, hiking, yoga, baking, and reading.
