A native Texan, Vincent grew up in the suburbs of Dallas as the proud older brother of seven younger siblings. He took his competitive drive to NJCAA Division III tennis at his local community college during which time he discovered the joys of teaching and began tutoring algebra, economics, and foreign languages. Vincent matriculated at the University of Dallas where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a concentration in Comparative Literary Traditions. After being awarded the Sister Clodovia Lockett Scholarship as the most promising premedical student among his peers he was accepted to the Joint Admission Medical Program where he was matched with Texas Tech Health Sciences Center for Medical School. Spending summers with college students as a mentor and gross anatomy lab assistant, he received the Dean’s Choice Award at the time of graduation. Vincent has given multiple oral presentations at American College of Surgery chapter meetings on clinical dilemmas in surgery and various outcomes research topics.
